A string of recent results, including 2 victories and a second place, continue to provide positive development for the team.
Training our climbing team, in an effort to diversify results is a key priority, and the victories in recent races have allowed us to continue to have healthy finances for this period. Our focus has shifted a little since the beginning, and our team hasn’t been climbing the divisions as fast, but the results continue to come in. It’s hoped that having a second team, or part there of, can supplement our sprint results and allow us to achieve higher divisions and bigger victories more easily.
Mature climbing talent is being fast tracked, with Angelo Goodwin and Kayden O’Hara rounding out the start of our climbing team with Steven Hodgson. Our focus will then primarily be on U23 development, following a few key signings over the last couple of seasons.
It’s good to see the team taking shape, and it’s a very fortunate position to be in where we have possibilities to fast track training, as well as investing into better equipment and staffing to get the best out of our sprinters. To be able to achieve all this mostly relying on race results and prize money is just the icing on the cake.
